Hello LDP Families,

Congratulations on being invited to join our Spotlight Program! We are thrilled to start this journey with our new friends and to continue with our returning dancers for another fantastic season.

At LDP, our mission revolves around Love, Dedication, and Passion. Our past Spotlight members have had incredible opportunities to represent LDP in the community through a variety of exciting and engaging events. We are committed to creating a safe space where dancers can thrive and continue developing their love for dance. With open hearts and attentive ears for feedback from our dance community, we are excited to introduce some enhancements to this year’s program. Here are a few key updates:

Progress Reports will be included in this year’s curriculum to allow dancers to check in periodically about their progress and set goals for their future success.
Prep Classes are being introduced in Season 12. These will be built-in classes available for dancers looking for a challenge and/or to work towards our Crew program.
Our Spotlight dance film will include Spotlight dancers in all age groups.

Spotlight dancers will be invited to join in some master classes offered throughout the season.

In this link, you will find a baseline Cost Summary for your dancer’s specific group placement. We ask that you review the Cost Summary as well as the available training tracks. We have created a Cost Summary for each Spotlight group so you can better see what a full season on Spotlight will look like financially for your family. You’ll see the monthly tuition at the top of the cost summary, and then listed below are the annual costs that come either once a session or once a season. There is a total listed for the full annual fees.

Value of Experiences

Our Spotlight dancers have the unique opportunity to perform all around Folsom. We are constantly working to find the best experiences for our Spotlight dancers to be a part of. This season, we plan to have our dancers perform in the following events:

-Folsom Family Expo

-Veterans Day Parade

-Palladio Tree Lighting OR Historic Folsom Tree Lighting

-Spotlight dance film

-Palladio Showcase

We are so excited to offer specific training tracks for our Spotlight dancers in Season 12. We are always working to find ways to improve our programs at LDP, and we believe this will be a great addition to our Spotlight program. We value the ability we have at LDP to offer our dancers a wide range of dance styles. We are excited to offer our Spotlight dancers more opportunities to grow together as a team and to broaden and balance their training with specific training tracks.

Additional Experiences

Leighton Dance Project’s Intern program is a valuable and important part of the studio’s well-being. The Interns are a team of 7th-12th grade dancers who help maintain and promote the studio camaraderie and synergy.

Interns help run studio-wide events and shows, including Back to Dance Bash, Monster Bash, Winter Wonderland, End Of Season Bash, and Annual Review. Being part of the intern team also means these dancers have the opportunity to be selected to be Teacher Assistants and members of the Oh! Snap Club, Inspiration Gang, Swag Squad, Costume Crew, and/or Party Pack. The intern program is free to participate in, and dancers receive specialized training from their Dream Team.

Boy, dance can get expensive. We plan to build a fundraising team to help offset costs throughout the season. We are eagerly seeking amazing parents to help organize fundraising opportunities for these awesome kids. Click the link below to sign up today if you are interested in joining our team. You can Accept or Decline your Spotlight Invitation using the buttons below. Please respond by the July 15th deadline to let us know if you will join the Spotlight Program in Season 12! This allows us to get your dancer registered, prepare for events, get you on BAND, and make sure you are set up to have a successful start to your season.

After filling out your acceptance form your LDP Dream Team will register your dancer for their required training tracks and any additional classes selected in the form.
